Homecoming Parade Canceled
Due to the rain predicted, Saturday’s Homecoming Parade has been canceled. The 5K and 1-mile Fun Run will still begin at 6 a.m. on Saturday. The Panther Den and tailgate experience will still take place on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. outside of the Jonas T. Kennedy Health and Wellness Complex. Claflin University Plant Operations is committed to creating strong, long-term partnerships with our clients by continually seeking to listen, understand and deliver upon their expectations.

Our Mission is to provide excellence in operations and maintenance for all facilities, campus infrastructure, energy systems and environmental services in a customer-focused, efficient and cost effective manner.

Plant Operations is the communications hub for Facilities Management and is the primary point of contact for service and maintenance request at Claflin University. We are a customer-focused organization committed to ensuring that the standards for service expectations are met.


  • Provide professional customer service and follow up for maintenance concerns
  • Provide accurate and timely resolutions to service requests by direct action or referral
  • Provide support for event setups and coordination of campus move requests

For Facilities related emergencies, please contact Plant Operations at 803.536.5638 or 803.535.5273 for immediate attention.

  • Flooding
  • Leaks (Window, A/C, Ceiling, etc…)
  • Elevator malfunctions
  • Plumbing issues
  • Power outages
  • Broken glass windows
  • A/C or Heat outages
  • Fire or Smoke
