Information Technology has implemented a 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year help desk. It can be reached by navigating to the url: https://claflin.edusupportcenter.com
. You may also call our help desk number at 803-535-5767 (5SOS) at any time. If nobody answers it after 3 rings, it will automatically roll to the 24/7/365 support desk number. If you problem requires local assistance, then the support desk will escalate the problem for local IT staff to resolve the problem. You can call about password resets, Office 365 questions and how-to, classroom technology, telephone usage, Moodle questions, wireless connectivity and problems, down situations, etc.
How to Report a Work Order (Faculty & Staff)
Reporting a work order is easy. You simply send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your request is automatically entered into our work order system (TrackIT!). Within 5 minutes, a confirmation page is automatically sent to you with a ticket number that you can use to check on the status of your work order.
How to Report a Work Order (Students)
Students should report any technical problems they may have pertaining to telephones, cable TV or internet access to their resident managers. Resident managers will then forward all requests to the IT department to be entered into our work order system. You can also report your problem directly to the helpdesk.
While our goal is to offer you the best technical support in a timely manner so that you can work effectively and efficiently. Requests should be attended to within 1-3 business days. During certain high demand timeframes, we are busier than normal during the semester and we ask that you be patient with us until we can service your request. It if the timeframe does not work or is of a critical nature, please call us at the helpdesk number below.
